We met Highland Games Academy at the Gettysburg Farmers Market and had a blast getting to try our hand at the sports! Our group had varying degrees of athletic ability but the Zipps were excellent teachers and endlessly patient and encouraging. We all had a great time and I’d highly recommend joining the Caber Club!

Highland Games Academy was absolutely awesome! My friends and I had booked this as a finale to a bachelor party and it easily became the highlight of the entire weekend! Aaron was a fantastic instructor and the activities we did were super fun (caber toss in particular)! As an add-on to the games, Aaron was also able to secure us a reservation at the Garryowen Irish Pub for food and whiskey tasting once everything was said and done. It was incredible and my friends and I can't wait to go back in the future and get even better at the games!

A fun and exciting experience for our international students, giving them a true taste of Scotland. Aaron and his crew are brilliant and professional, providing safe instruction and a lot to laugh at. I highly recommend Aaron's services to any event organiser.

Aaron is a great teacher and very passionate about Highland Games. Try them out and you'll see why! A lot of fun and I'm still buzzing from tossing the caber on the third go. It's not as easy as it looks, but Aaron is a great coach.

Today was such a fun family day at the Adams County Farmer’s Maeket getting to learn all about the events done at the Highland Games and how to do them. From the stone throw, weight toss, caber, and bubbles for the toddlers! The hands on learning and instruction was such a great experience for all of us (9-31). The instructor, Aaron, was VERY informative and so nice, patient, and encouraging! We all can’t wait to do it again!!

This was a highlight of our trip. Aaron did a great job giving instruction while keeping it low-pressure. He was able to make it fun for the varied ability and interest levels in our family. My teenage sons were able to push themselves and discover new skills without getting too competitive with each other. My college-age daughter was able to participate as much (or little) as she wanted in a way that didn’t raise her anxiety or feel embarrassed by her relative lack of strength.

I highly recommend the optional photographer for your session. Not only were the photos incredible, it allowed us to be fully present in the experience and not stuck behind our phones. The genuine smiles on everyone’s faces in our group photos say it all. We left feeling strong and connected to a centuries-old tradition.

My boys left googling where to buy a caber back home and talking about starting a Highland Games club at school! It becomes addictive. 2 hours didn’t feel like nearly enough!

Aaron led several fantastic sessions with our youngsters. They all had a lot of fun in a safe, well run and unique environment. An amazing experience for us all- I would highly recommend!
